You can also create your own recipes from scratch. The most basic wine recipe is just water, sugar, fruit and yeast. Adding acids and tannins to the mix will help liven up the wine and give it some zip and adding nutrient or energizer will help enhance the fermentation. It is always recommended to eliminate wild yeast and bacteria either by pasteurization or using metabisulphites. This sheet will provide some basic guidelines for creating recipes, but the end flavor is limited only by your imagination.
