This is one of those wine-making tools that you can’t appreciate until you use it. Elizabeth was gracious enough to let me borrow a floor corker from the Norfolk home brewing store (with a deposit, of course) for my very first batch of wine. I’d also borrowed the hand-held corker that my friend Roni used so I could compare the difference. Well, there is no comparison! The handheld models will get the job done, but not without a lot of effort (it really takes two people). The Floor Corker, on the other hand, makes corking your wine effortless. My husband agreed and suggested it as my birthday present. Smart man! As soon as my wine was bottled, I called the store and paid for the corker I’d brought home. Once I’d tried it, there was no going back.

Check out this video and see how easy it is to use!
